Being Good Diver is not about Certificate. Let's Go Diving!

All divers start from the basic diving certification called Open
1st Scuba Dive Lesson. All starts from here!
Water Scuba Diver (SDI) or Open Water Diver (PADI) or equivalent. This certificate let you go scuba diving all over the world to the maximum depth 18m. Many divers stay with this level, enjoying beautiful coral reef and marine creatures, etc. Colours still stay well above 18m, so most dives will be nice and relaxing.

What's the next level? Advanced Adventure Diver (SDI) or Advanced Open Water Diver (PADI) or equivalent certificate will let you go diving maximum 30m deep, giving you more chance to go scuba diving. It won't be colourful like shallow diving but when there are ship wrecks at that depth or something else to see, you will not miss the opportunity.
Then you may add Enriched Air Diver and Deep Diver certificate so that you can maximise your opportunity to dive more unto 40m deep.

Let's Go Diving!
Now, will you be a good diver if you take all the courses? Answer is "not necessarily". Every Diving course will give you knowledge and skill guidance for the level; however, the most important thing is "Go Diving"
It is like all other sports. You learn skills and knowledge in the lesson but if you don't practice or play after, your skill will not stay with you.
Certification is to let you go diving. You can only maintain what you've leant by Diving.

If you didn't get a chance to dive for long, you can always ask for "Refresher" lessons to get back to scuba diving before your Holiday.
For divers who want to improve skills, we also offer "Skill Up Lesson" either in swimming pool or Open Water. Divers don't get chances to get proper advice after completing skills. Other divers may give you some advice, but not always helpful. Before developing bad habit, you can take the skill up lesson to get back to good skills. Here is the info: https://divemanchester.co.uk/pages/recreational-tech-skill-up-lesson
Practice makes "permanent". Don't let your bad habit permanent. Let's get good skills in place.

We had some students who didn't want to go diving without taking certification lessons. What happened was they could only dive under instruction. They never became "divers" but staid as "students". Being "Badge Collector" is not a good idea for Scuba Diving. When "Open Water Divers" have better buoyancy and better air consumption and better skills than those divers with many certificates, it is quite embarrassing. I had Rescue Divers panicked in the middle of
Cerebrating 300th,200th,50th Dives on Club Trip
water, ripped my reg & mask off from me in the past. One could not clear mask and the other could not keep his buoyancy, then panicked. Certification does not make you a good diver. "Going out to dive" will let you improve your diving and all. Like other sports.

So, stop talking about certificates. Wait a moment to take another course just for another badge.
Let's Go Diving and Enjoy the Dives.
